Our Community Involvement
Project Development The Project Development committee networks with local community organizations to determine areas of greatest need. From this research, new community projects are developed.
Mission Accomplished Mission Accomplished utilizes smaller scale projects to target and address critical needs in the community through various service projects that can be completed in a short amount of time.
Kids on the Block Through puppetry, the JLS educates area elementary school children on social issues. Kids on the Block teaches children how to accept differences in others and themselves as well as make healthier life choices.
Community Assistance The Vision of the Junior League of Summit is that it will be a “highly respected force for targeting and impacting critical community needs.” In keeping with this Vision, the JLS annually awards Community Grants, which are made to non-profit organizations to address demonstrated community needs that fall within the JLS focus area.
